Anwar for DPM now?

THE RIFT BETWEEN THE COURT-CLUSTER AND CABINET-CLUSTER IS NOW CONFIRMED TO HAVE DEEPENED, AND BOTH FACTIONS HAVE APPROACHED ANWAR IBRAHIM FOR SUPPORT!

The bet is that Anwar will offer interim help to Ma'el Bera and his faction, purportedly on the basis of the MOU, and in consideration of being appointed the TPM until the end of the term.

Nonsense?

Consider the following:

1. It's advantageous for Anwar and PKR for him to be the sitting DPM prior to a PRU.

2. Because bridges have been burnt, there will be no turning back. That's the death-knell of kleptocratic-ridden UMNO as we know it.

Why would the cabinet-cluster want this to happen, you may ask.

Because there is no way for them to be back in an UMNO that is led by Zahid and under the influence of felon Najib.

The present efforts to unseat Ma'el Bera as PM, for not requesting YDPA for the dissolution of Parliament, have backfired. The split among the UMNO MPs now is said to be 50:50.

The assumption is that most of UMNO members are behind the president, and the cabinet-cluster will therefore be castaways. Really?

"We are UMNO loyalists and we are sticking to the party and its elected leadership structure. If push come to shove, we are not a particular personality loyalist, only loyal to the 'perjuangan'," explained a ketua bahagian to us, after the recent BN convention.

One thing we can be sure of though is that the cabinet-cluster will have no regrets either. They will join another party if they want to continue their political career. "UMNO is just not tenable as is, being manipulated by crooks," they say.

How do we put the two and two together, in order to make any sense?

A few things are quite obvious to the trained eye:

a) Najib & Zahid and their cahoots are very desperate and putting tremendous pressure on Ma'el to hold early elections.

b) Ma'el is quite steadfast in being PM till September 2023. The excuse is that there is no guarantee that UMNO will win, and that UMNO lost PRU14 when inflation was at its height. So it seems that unless Ma'el gets something stronger than what Zahid can offer him now, we are in for a show!

c) Ma'el, as a sitting PM, can offer Anwar the DPM position now. Zahid, can't. Zahid even with Mahiaddin can't even remove Ma'el as PM because PH and the opposition is quite solid against the two. Remember, it is UMNO that has split!

d) Anwar is sitting pretty as a king-maker with everything to gain before and after PRU15. He deserves it! With Rafizi and not Farhash advising him, UMNO will be in for a stretch!

e) The UMNO loyalists may just move to be with the cabinet-cluster and be the real UMNO, now free to reform itself!

f) if all these wishful thinking happen, from now on for almost one and a half years, we will have a cabinet made up of Ma'el & gang, PKR, DAP, GPS and GRS.

Don't we all love to finally see the backs of Bersatu, Pejuang and PAS?

How about Zahid & Najib?
