ANYTHING BUT UMNO!

Our country is broken. Our people are leaderless. Our future is, at best, uncertain. The state of our nation today rests upon a quicksand of race, religion and the avarice of greedy and corrupt politicians. All this is already a toxic combination even in the best of times. In the impossible times that we are now living in, it spells certain Armageddon. That we are not yet at death’s door is the result of that certain factor that still exists within many of us. It is that stubborn insistence within us all that say that good will eventually prevail over evil. Right, over wrong. The only question left to be answered is, has the “eventually” arrived.

For me, “eventually” arrived at PRN Johor a few weeks back. It cannot get any worse than to have a Convicted Felon led Barisan Nasional to electoral victory, with the selfish complicity of the avaricious Mr Sultan. The Ruler of a State, conniving with politicians - both with one intent : self interests. That they have been successful in their sordid venture is a sad reflection of the times that we now live in - and yet there is hope in one simple equation :

If the Opposition had been united under one leader, one banner, one cause - that of taking back Putrajaya - BN would have lost Johor’s PRN and the Ruler might begin to understand that Bangsa Johor has a mind of their own.

A year ago when Muhyiddin, Mahiaddin …I don’t know anymore what to call him anymore, and I don’t care…when Abah was Perdana Menteri, I suggested that the leader of the Opposition, DSAI, should make the grand gesture to gather the Opposition together to meet and get consensus on a course of action to take back Putrajaya.

And after achieving consensus, they should all stand together and announce to BN that they now intend to take back the mandate given to Pakatan Harapan by the rakyat at PRU14, at PRU15.

Nothing came of the suggestion.

Instead, piece meal attempts were made by individuals from various political entities opposed to BN to form alliances to serve their own political interests - not that of the rakyat. They all failed. Too many distrusts. Too much animosity. Too little awareness of what the rakyat needs and want.

PRU15 has not been called. It is never too late for that grand gesture of announcing a joint opposition initiative to take back Putrajaya at PRU15. A grand gesture that can pull together everything, everybody and anything else opposed to BN into one cohesive entity, all opposed to BN.

Who can do this will be our leader, our PM and our savior. We still await that leader even now.
