Cakap cakap...isu semasa and post PRU15 coalitions

PRU14 was a perfect storm.

You had Najib Razak, Rosmah, a totally corrupt Umno where cash is King. The 1MDB debacle that was all Najib's doing, was God sent for PH, and Pakatan Harapan ably presented itself as a credible alternative to BN. You also had the Rakyat ready, willing, and primed for change.

It all came together, peaked, when Najib Razak choose to have Election Day on 9th May, a Wednesday rather than on the weekend because he thought that by doing so, the rakyat will be less likely to make the effort to turn up to vote.

Everything that was needed to ensure the fall of BN in that perfect storm, happened. And of course, there were those PH leaders who took the rakyat on a tidal wave of hope and determination that ini kali, the people will take government for themselves.

PRU15 is different.

The Pakatan Harapan that won PRU14 is not the Pakatan Harapan of today. The PH of today is not better than the PH of PRU14 and there is much that can be said by me, and others, about why this is so....but we will talk about this on another day.

Suffice to say that the Rapat Mega Keadilian is just that: a PKR effort, not a PH effort. That infectious "Aduh Malaysia" by Altimet, was launched at a PKR event when it could and should have been launched at a PH national event and be the PH anthem that should reverberate at every PH event to ridicule BN time and time again in the lead up to PRU15! Long story short, PKR is not PH.

Warisan and Pejuang have rejected DSAI. In Sarawak, there is no more Larry Sng or Baru Bian. In Sabah no more Hajiji Noor. Let this PRU15 not be another PKR "going it alone" thing as in the Johor State election. PKR must put PH first.

Barisan Nasional is intact.

It has the same coalition partners, although there is internal strife as Umno sorts out its leadership issues. All indications point to a situation where the Umno court cluster, including its President, Zahid Hamidi, will be dismissed from office to be replaced by others who would be able to put together an Umno election machinery better able to lead BN into a PRU15, and give PH a run for its money. By the time PRU15 is called, Umno should have leaders focussed on leading BN towards a better Malaysian for Malaysians. And more critical, BN has already signaled that they are open to any post-PRU15 coalition link-up if that is needed to form an effective government. If truth be told, everyone who is anyone in politics today is doing just that now!

And from where will Umno find these potential post-PRU15 coalition partners from? Common sense tells us they will come from anyone or any political party that is from within and without of PH...and given the disarray and division now within the Opposition, there are too many of them to mention here.

Until there is clarity from within the ranks of the Opposition, we will have to wait and see which way the wind blows, or who all be left standing once the dust settles...or words to that effect. I just wish that all those in the Opposition can understand that working out their differences now, rather than later, is better than allowing those already in the opposition be involved in a 'dialogue' with Umno in order to keep their options open.....right up to, and post PRU15.

Why?

Given what has been going on between DSAI and Tun, and given what PKR has been saying about PBMB (read Azmin Ali and Zuraidah) and the results of PKR's 'discussions' with Pejuang and Barisan.....who do you think these now "Opposition" members will work with if there is a hung Parliament? Enough said.
