cakap cakap..steadyaku.

Last night I was talking with a friend late…very late at night. Past 3 am my time and midnight in KL. Always, for me, past 1 am is the time I am able to have some sense of clarity and rationality in my thoughts. No WhatsApp, no FB, no Zoom, no emails, no social media. Just me and whoever I choose to talk to.

She told me that earlier at lunch, her friends talked about steadyaku. Some commented that I was writing not too complimentary things about PH. About PKR and even about MUDA. And one said: “This guy in Melbourne (that is me that they are referring to) tak tau apa di cakap.! Tapi dia budak Kolet kan? Pasal apa di tak support Anwar? Kan budak Kolet always support each together?”

For me, It is strange to know that people whom I have never met are talking about me…or really about what I write. Not only are they talking about what I write, but also passing comments on me in a personal way. How do they know that Budak Kolet supports each other no matter what? No, we do not! We can think for ourselves and when we agree to disagree - we disagree. And the other thing that people talking about me like to do is to presume that because I am, 6000kms away, I do not know what is happening in KL. They do! Huh!

Let me share this with you.

When the Tim Leissner story, about him having a ‘good’ time with a few Malay girls, broke, my Whatsapp and emails was chock-a-block with “facts” about Tim and the Malay girls. What is fact and what is fiction is almost impossible to tell until and unless I verify the “facts” by talking to people who are in the know. But I was working to a deadline. If I delayed writing on the breaking story, who wants to read yesterday’s news today?

So I wrote about Tim Leissner and the Malays girls with what ‘facts’ I was comfortable with and left out chunks of other ‘interesting’ tales. What other fascinating tales?

Let me share these unverified ‘facts’ with you guys. These ‘facts’ came a few days back. I am still not comfortable with it because I have not been able to confirm what was in the message from third parties who are in the know about these things. But I will share this with you…as is:

Let me reiterate…I have yet to verify the above ‘facts’ supposedly sent by Rohana’s aunty.

I get these messages often, and these last few days have been one of those periods when I really need to do my homework before I write. What I am trying to tell you guys is simply this… I have friends out there that keep me informed of what is happening in KL “IN REAL TIME”. Some of these tales, other bloggers will and can write about. Some tales they cannot because they do not want to be a “person of interest to PDRM”. Nudge nudge wink wink.

I am already “a person of interest” to PDRM…SB to be specific. So whats me worry kan?

I am certain that my first stop when I am back n KL will have to be Bukit Aman. So be it. I have been to Bukit Aman before many times…my old man used to work there.

This is just a short piece to ask you guys to just lay off this old blogger on a personal level. Read what I write. That is the message I want to put out there. Do not shoot the messenger.

Have a good weekend. Be good. Do good and be nice to everyone.
