cakap cakap : The state of our nation today!

I am not the only one talking about corruption and greed by our lawmakers and by the guardians of those laws. Nor am I the only one talking about how some of the royals, have virtually condemned the royal institution to purgatory - yes purgatory for it is the other decent royals who would have to pay for the sins of these few corrupt royals. Because of the excesses and greed of these few royals, Dollah, Mr Sultan Down South and Ketot, there will be no place for the royals in our future. Not even in the museums!

The wonder of it all is that none of them…the lawmakers, the guardians of these laws and the errant royals can see beyond immediate financial gains.

And now, in our face, we have this corrupt, arrogant and obnoxious government servant, Azam Baki, thumbing his nose at his KSN, his Minister, the Prime Minister and horror, horror …the YDPA. This is beyond the pale : this is outside the bounds of acceptable behaviour.

The closest I can think of anything like what Azam Baki is now doing is when Anwar went against Mahathir. From the beating he received from Rahim Noor, the public humiliation of a dubious court trial, subsequent conviction and incarceration…if truth be told, …there could be a better way somehow for Anwar to handle his disagreement with his superior, Tun Mahathir.

The same when Najib told Tun “kepala bapak engkau” and when he asked the opposition to being it on. For sure he had his moments then and drew laughter from his partisan audience, but to what avail? He will rue that day in time to come, if he has not already done so.

And now we have this upstart Azam Baki. I can call him an upstart, corrupt and having his “fool glory days” now for he has nothing on me or against me that would make me worry about what he will do to me and my loved ones, if I do not shut up.

He does not have a file on me and if he does, there is nothing in the file that he can use to make me shut up. It does not worry me a bit. He cannot threaten to investigate me to unearth incriminating evidence of abuse of power or criminal conduct by me, because there is none. He cannot threaten to harm those close to me who are within his reach in K Hell - for there is nobody who is close to me in K Hell today. None! He may want to charge me for treason but I am out of his reach .So he has nothing against me. Nothing to harm me with. And so I can and will call him corrupt and an arrogant little man because I can.

The prime minister is running for cover. SC is running for cover. And every damm politician, public official and government servant who has ever taken a cent that does not belong to them, are all also running for cover. Everyone of them has got something to hide.

I have never used the undeserved Tan Sri before Azam's name because he is not deserving of it. And as for him being the Commissioner of SPRM, there is no dignity or pride in being in that position when you are nor deserving of that honour.

But here is the truth. For now, there is nothing you or I can do to rein him in. For now, to all intents and purposes he is a Tan Sri, he is head of SPRM and he can claim that only the Agong can dismiss him. For now he can strut and swagger down main street K Hell because this is his time.

I can wait. I waited for over a decade to see Najib and Rosmah in the docks. I waited longer to see Umno eat crow pie and be left in the dust of a PH victory in PRU14 - however brief - but I did see Umno eat dust.

I am now 75. I will live long enough to see all that happen again. I have no doubt about that!And among my druthers, I want to see this Azam Baki arrested, put on trial and when found guilty, incarcerated. Nothing more. Nothing less.
