CAPT. KAMIL

I refer to the piece by Hussein Hamid otherwise STEADYAKU47 of 5 January 2022 insinuating that Malays have outlived their usefulness in a changing world....

I don't normally respond to writeups outside my territory..aviation.

But in this instance l am compelled to say something.

Firstly whilst not being personal, why bark when you are on the outside..having a good life in Melbourne. He should just enjoy his steak there.

Otherwise, he might like to come back and institute change in his country of birth.

It's a gross exaggeration that Malays have outlived our usefulness in the changing world. He should not generalise. There are still many good and responsible Malays around.

It's as if he does not know that they are( still) many Malay leaders and people of high integrity. Though l never hold a high position in my previous organization, even up to this day, l never take anything that is not mine. Nor do l cheat people.

I know there are many others who are the same...one of them Hussanudin Yaakob, my fellow statemate, Kelantan, who is now heading the RasuahBusters group. And also Ameer Mydin, of MYDIN group, not by chance, also a Kelantanese.

On Kepercayaan kapada tuhan being missing, he should come not only for Jumaat prayers but also Subuh prayers...the mosque are packed..more then ever before.

On PM, Ministers and politicians who are capable, reliable and trustworthy being missing, that might be true with the present government. But l know there are many good politicians on the opposite side.

Nevertheless l hope they would not be the same if the are in the ruling seats.

Again he should not paint with a common brush that they are no officials of integrity in PDRM, MACC and JPJ. It hurts those who are honest and forthright, one of them Ayob Khan, the Johore CPO who was recently promoted to become Bukit Aman's Director of Narcotics.

There are many Muftis, Ustazs and ulamas who speak up on the ongoing transgressions. Amongst them Dr. Maza, the Mufti of Perlis, Ustaz Badli and Ustaz Kazim...except that their views are not widely reported.

What's covered by the writer, cannot be said to be the tip of the iceberg. In this modern age, people are very much in the know with what's going on and many Malays have spoken up.

Leading the group is of course the G 25. To mention a few others, Tawfik Ismail, Syed Saddiq, Imraz Akhbar, Mariam Mokhtar, M. Kamal Hassan and even when necessarry, the Royal Highness Sultan of Perak.

So it's not a total loss cause.

It would be good however if Rafizi Ramli and Nurul Izzah make themselves heard again. Enough of hibernating.

Having said that, l'm confident we will see change in the next election.

The writer should know...Malays are generally very simple minded and easy going people. But when pushed against the wall, they will fight back.

So to Hussein Hamid and a few others alike who are speaking from overseas, come back and join the fight for change at home.

Otherwise, we are alright without you.

Enjoy your steak while we enjoy our Satay here.

steadyaku47 reply to the above article.

Kamil…first thing first.

I do not bark. I think I write good copy and a number of people have also told me so.

The “few others” that speaks from overseas, do so out of a sense of responsibility and love for our place of birth. I do not know about the others, but I am still a warganegara of Malaysia. The only reason I am not back in K Hell is because SB has a warrant of arrest under my name that states “To be detained upon entry”. If I go back to K Hell, I cannot write. As for Mariam Mokhtar, the last time I spoke to her, she is also one of the “few others” that speaks from overseas.

Kamil, even you speak outside your ‘territory - aviation’ kan? Jangan lah fikir just because we Malays live abroad, we cannot comment on things concerning Malaysia and Malaysians. I have been writing about Malaysia and Malaysian for over a decade. It is a labour of love. Not work.

And if I follow your drift, does it mean that non-Malays cannot comment about Malays? That non-Muslims cannot comment about Muslim and…those not from Kelantan cannot comment about those from Kelantan? And to take it to the sublime…those whose fathers are not prime ministers should not comment about son’s of prime minister? Bodoh punya premise kan?

I know there are many Malay leaders and people of high integrity. I am in touch with them and they, with me. Unfortunately Kamil we are not in touch with each other - I wonder why? Maybe you putting that CAPT. before your name has got something to do with it…you dah bersara ka belum? I am in touch with retired Generals (from ATM) who do not put their rank or title in front of their names. I wonder why?

I do not have a good life in Melbourne. I have been on a pension for the past ten years. Five years of that was spent taking care of my dear wife who had dementia. And for three years of that five, she was an invalid. It was not an easy life but it was what I and my son wanted to do for her. She passed away two years back. I live in subsidised government housing. Only people living below the minimum income level in Australia, gets to live in government housing. So that gives you an idea of the circumstances under which i am now living in. The last time I had steak in the last three month was….never!

For sure the mosques are packed for Subuh and Friday prayers. When people are very desperate - they turn to ALLAH for help. I think that is the case among Malays today. And, as for the Muftis, Ustazs and Ulamas... cakap tak serupa bikin. Their place is not only in the mosques but also to lead the charge against Muslims who are corrupt, arrogant and thieves. Kan? But these Muftis, Ustazs and Ulamas are missing in action!!

Nampaknya you and I agree on those useless politicians. So no need to comment. As for the opposition, we will leave them for the time being. Let us say we agree to disagree on them.

MACC, PDRM and JPJ…I have written enough about them. I know enough about PDRM because my late father was a police officer - Director CID. So I think I know more about PDRM than you. MACC and JPJ are full of Malays from top to bottom. Lots of room for improvements—the question on every Malay lips is…do they want to improve?

G25? Tabek to them. Tawfik Ismail - I am in touch with him and I know what he is doing. Syed Saddiq - good boy but he needs a bit more humility. The others? I do not know them. And as for Sultan Perak…I want to see if his cakap serupa bikin. All he has done so far is cakap!

Kamil we are on the same side. When Malays staying abroad write about the Malays, about Malaysia and Malaysians, do say thank you to them for doing so. Do not write an article telling us to come back to Malaysia if we want to fight for change. And do not presume that we are all living the good life, eating steak. If you do, we get a bit upset and write articles like this one.

Last word. We, you and I, we care for Malaysia. We fight for change in our own ways. Our focus and aim should be directed towards those corrupt Malay politicians and some Royals…not at each other. Salam.

P.S. I have just been informed that CAPT KAMIL is not a retired Army CAPT but a Pilot with MAS...so my apologies to him for presuming that he was a CAPT. bersara from ATM. He can put that CAPT. before his name...but is there a need to put that CAPT. at all before his name? You guys decide.
