Does he understand what Conservation and Biodiversity means?

Does this guy know what 'CONSERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT" means? Does he know what 'BIODIVERSITY" means?

The Pahang Royal family has been the chief culprit of legal and illegal activities in Pahang. Be it mining of bauxite and other minerals, irresponsible extraction of sand from the rivers, and logging - activities that have caused much damage to the environment and to the variety of animals, plants, that make up our natural world and are vital to maintaining balance and support of life on earth.

For sure he can say that in June 2021 he ordered for the 4,600 hectares Chini Forest Reserve, to be expanded up to 7,000 hectares, aimed at protecting and conserving the flora and fauna in the Tasik Chini area. He also talked again about conserving the environment and biodiversity in April on Earth Day. And now, in conjunction with World Environment Day, he called on all Malaysians to conserve the environment. Really?

  • A company owned by members of Pahang state’s royal family plans to mine iron ore in a forest reserve that is home to 15 threatened species, including tigers, elephants, tapirs, sun bears, and leopards.

  • The area, which was until June 2019 listed as a permanent forest reserve, is part of a wildlife corridor connecting key forest complexes in Peninsular Malaysia’s Central Forest Spine.

  • The planned iron mine, which came to light after the project’s environmental impact assessment was made public, is one of a spate of extractive projects recently found to be linked to Pahang royalty.

He has done a lot of talking, but what has he done to translate these aspirations into reality?

He knows that illegal logging in Pahang has destroyed hundreds of kampong houses. Ten lives, including children, were also lost. Has he been able to stop the Pahang royals from being involved in these illegal activities? Not bloody likely because the money they make is too much for the Pahang Royals to ignore.

All those people writing these speeches for this guy...try to understand that the world we now live in is different from the one you are now still living in. This Regent of Pahang is making a fool of himself by talking about biodiversity and conservation of the environment when his own family is the worst offenders!
