DSAI is ready. He takes center stage. Now begins the final countdown.

Selamat Pagi Malaysia.

Those were the last few messages exchanged between friends as I made ready for sleep last night. His source is impeccable. A week earlier, he told me that BN will lose, and will lose big. And now he is telling me that PN plus plus...will do government dalam masa terdekat.

Hindsight is best to have before an event. Having hindsight after an event defeats the very purpose of having hindsight....kan?

But we are not in the "what if" business.

What if there had been a coalition within the Opposition - at a time when PN and PH and PAS were still without the number of seats that they now each have?

What if Umno had heeded the dire warnings of many that it was heading towards Armageddon in PRU15 if it persists in having PRU15 to resolve the problem of its Court Cluster?

What if the electorates eschew race and religion and cast their votes as Malaysians?

In truth, none of the above happened, at least not in numbers that would make a difference to the lot of Malaysians and Malaysia after PRU15.

And so today ..the morning after...we are again staring into the political abyss of race and religion ..AND.....again faced with despicable politicians who thrive by feeding upon the carcasses of race and religion - for surely those who have cast their votes for Hadi and Muhyiddin are dead to the realities that surround them!

But those are the realities, and this morning, brother Anwar Ibrahim is fighting the fight of his political life. The other fights he has had in the past have only been dress rehearsals for this one. And by all accounts, Anwar is ready. Anwar now takes center stage. Anwar now begins the final countdown. We can only wish him well and wait.

It is despicable that even after Pakatan Harapan has beaten PN by 1.2 million popular votes, it is still Dollah that will have the final say on who is to do government. And of course, after the choice Dollah made post Langkah Sheraton, we all have reason to doubt Dollah's ability to do right by us all.
This time around, Dollah must be more circumspect. This time around Anwar Ibrahim should school, guide, and advise Dollah on the protocols, and duty expected of Mr. King and at the same time spell out in detail Mr. King prerogatives as Agong. That is the very least Anwar should do in his audience with Dollah....while we should be ready to loudly protest any attempt by Dollah to do otherwise.

Enough for now, lest I am again served with another arrest warrant....but one last word from a classmate of Anwar and me...who, I am sure, preferred to be anon than to be named. He paints a picture of what is to come post 2.30 pm today if Dollah lacks the ability to do what is right by all of us. God help us all....

2.30 pm is going to come n to pass. PN is going to be the government of Malaysia. They didn’t get the most number of MPs seats, PH is ahead of them by 9.

PH also garnered more than a million votes over PN, which means that most of the rakyat want PH. But we are not getting this. Something is v wrong in the land of Malaysia.

Let us now see what our lot is post 2.30 pm today. A marriage had occurred between 2 v different characters. Before this they had never shown any liking for one another

E Malaysia will make v high demands. Oil royalties is going to be 40%. Can Malaysia afford this. Kelantan and Terengganu should also demand the same. Pas who got 100% of the MPs seats in these 2 states should fight for this. Otherwise it will show that they only talk

Hj Hadi will at least want to be DPM if not PM. Pas has the most no of MPs, way ahead of Bersatu. They, too, will make tremendous demands. Will they want to implement Hudud?

Malaysia will not be able to go to business as usual in the next few weeks, or months. Government will be beset with intra-government quarreling. Muhyiddin had taken too big a bite for him to chew.

We have to wait for the dust to settle, then only sanity will come back. Hopefully, then we will get the government of our choosing. Reforms carried out. We will go through the path of development. Something we all deserve.
