Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

The snap election of Malacca was called after a sham political crisis that Umno’s money bought. Four members of the state assembly who had previously supported the Chief Minister announced the loss of confidence and withdrawal of their support for him resulting in a state election. BN won a landslide victory - winning 21 out of the 28 State Assembly Seats. No thanks to the convicted felon.

Flushed with success, BN and the convicted felon now wants a repeat of Malacca, in Johor. Have they not heard of the saying, fool the people once, shame on you. Fool the people twice…shame on the people?

This time, Pakatan Harapan have had time to pitch their Khemah Besar in Johor. MUDA , now registered, is off and running. Pejuang has joined the race and Warisan too, have thrown their hats into the ring.

The convicted felon is doing his thing for BN.

What thing you ask? Bossku. The “I have nothing to do with the 1MDB debacle. No billions was ever lost”. And he parroted his usual list of accomplishment : BRIM. What BN under his leadership had done for Johor. And the ususal..Johor needs a strong, stable state government to prosper. What was left unsaid by the convicted felon is that an electoral victory for the Umno led BN in Johor will go one more step closer to finding a political solution to his dire legal problems. And also a political solution to Rosmah’s and the Umno court cluster conundrum.

Bossku has lost its shine. It is an old tired rallying cry of someone who has already been convicted of fraud and stealing billions of the rakyats ringgits. Najibs ‘rent a crowd’ are still there, but their enthusiasm is wanning. Najib know it. He slipped up the other day in Parliament when he insisted that not a single cent of rakyat’s money has been used to pay for the billions lost by 1MDB under his watch. The Finance Minister put Najib right by saying that what Najib said was wrong, and we all know that the government has already repaid RM13.3 billion of 1MDB’s debt so far.

In Johor, this convicted felon has Mr Sultan Down South and his Pendek son on his side. Why? I am not going to accuse the Royals of doing things for money or personal gains. I am not going to accuse the Royals of thinking ahead to the time when Mr Sultan is Agong and why having a pliant Umno in Putrajaya will be a win win situation for the Johor Royals and Umno. No, I am not going to do that. Suffice to say that Pendek and that Convicted Felon have been photograph together. Kan?

PRN Johor is a work in progress. BN is no longer talking about a clean sweep in Johor. They are talking about what they will do for Johorians if they are elected. With the emphasis on “IF”.

The convicted felon is becoming a liability for Umno and BN. He has already become a figure of fun in Malaysians and globally. He has not yet reach the stature of Idi Amin or Emperor Bokassa but Lat, if he is so inclined, can give Najib cartoon infamy for generations to come. For sure, he has the Mat Spanner and Minah Current on his side. Them, and no one else!

Roll on PRN Johor. The Opposition may still be in disarray. Not yet united in purpose but certainly united against the convicted felon and what he represents : Corruption, Kleptocracy and a government complicit in allowing it to permeate to every level of government and society in Malaysia. Enough said.
