Freedom has a limit and a price attached to it.

Unknown member Good advise and apt, except we ve to be mindful that democracy in the mould of western“capitalism” is failing in favour of “democracy” in the moulds of Russian and Chinese authoritarianism where the Duma and CEC (of CPC) honours their leadership decisions after intense but responsible debates - where policies made are usually durable, robust abd for long haul.

On the other extreme flip side, dynastic system of rulers and monarchs have been tested but failed almost in all of western civilisation particularly Europe fr the Vikings of Nordic States, Kaisers of Germany to the Tzars of Russia except it survived in the mostly Arab speaking populations of the Mid East- chiefly for 2 reasons ie the power of control under a single religion and people with endless flow of oil money to ensure it stays in control .. but don’t mistaken that to be kosher but it works for now until if the money runs out.

On another spectrum, socialist Cuba didn’t even have a chance to gain traction due to the US embargo and even if it did, will not make it either because such system of State control of national assets and narratives (ala communism) will not germinate real talents without the excitement of competition.

And so we ve a hybrid of democracy deriving fr all that great experiments with considerable success during the last economic miracles fr 1988-1997.

However sadly great success didn’t follow with great responsibility when a slew of privatisation that makes Umno leaderships go gaga and corruption and abuses never seen before became an audacity to steal openly and blatantly. Shame and shamelessness lost to good principles and morality. Islam lost its true self and had to be sacrificed for dunia, and so the rise of Islamist ideology which are quiet superficial to Islam. In fact if it’s not Islamic what can it be ? Go figure out yourself.

So and BUT, as implied in the above article, it can also turn into a valid concern that might see a great tragedy if the government were to take the rising green tide too lightly.

It must remember that any freedom has a limit and a price attached to it. So yes what can reshape that ugliness is to stem and nip it at the source.. and that’s a tested, good and balance national education systems for all must be quickly put in place.

I think our PM and his people knows what to do.

Otherwise, in just less than a decade we will have scores if not hundreds of Hadi Awang(s) to worry about with their amanat2. That’s why I m a firm believer that majority is not always right and people need to also listen to what the minority has to say.

In the Quran, it seems “the few” are mostly the one that will triumph fr direct access to paradise and the ones that makes almost everything ticks. ☺️
