Hamzah Zainuddin as DPM?

Whether there is an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) or an MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) between Ismail Sabri (Umno) and TSMY (Bersatu) as to the appointment of a Timbalan Perdana Menteri from Bersatu, is moot. But this much I know.

TSMY wants Hamzah Zainuddin as the Deputy Prime Minister.

Two immediate and pressing issues should persuade Ismail Sabri to do just that.

1. Intake of migrant workers from Indonesia (under Hamzah Zainuddin purview). Effective immediately, Indonesia has imposed a temporary freeze on all workers entering Malaysia owing to Malaysia’s breach of the terms in the domestic worker memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the two countries signed just three months ago. That effectively means tak cukup perkerja Indonesia in the ladang Kelapa Sawit....resulting in Malaysia losing RM$50 million in export value per day. The appointment of a DPM from Bersatu will resolve this problem. Enough said.

2. Decision by RoS (also under Hamzah's purview) that the Umno's party election must take place by December this year. The appointment of a DPM from Bersatu will resolve this issue as Ismail Sabri would want it to be resolved. Enough said.

So what is left for Ismail Sabri to do but to agree to the appointment of Hamzah Zainuddin as DPM? Plenty....

What will the Umno Court Cluster do? Will Najib and Zahid now move against Ismail Sabri? And if they do what would be the consequences for the Court Cluster, for Umno, for Ismail Sabri, for TSMY and Bersatu? What will Azmin Ali do? What will Pakatan Harapan do? What will Tun Mahathir and the lain lain also do?

I have already put the cat among the pigeons by the above disclosures...and I am too far away to be able to feel the reverberations within the political parties, the various factions, and individuals concerned to be able to make an informed judgment of what is going on in Bolehland once the shit hits the fan. So for now, I will wait and see.
