"How do we get the Malays on side?"

The question that needs to be asked, the question that needs to be answered, the question that never fails to be used and abused by vain inglorious political Napoleons and by others who should know better., and the question used to justify the deeds of political villains and heroes alike when planning, plotting or scheming their nefarious political misdeeds, is simply this: "How do we get the Malays on side?"....for whom the Malays want as their leader, will lead the government of the day.

And do not forget that the Agong, the Sultans, an overwhelmingly large number of politicians with political power, government servants, and the dominant population of Malaysia, are Malays. The Malays will decide who will do government.

The silly political season that Pakatan Harapan ushered in after PRU14 may be the stuff of political change and direction that some Malaysians wanted, but "some Malaysians" are no match against the Malays who want political and economic hegemony over all others in Malaysia.

Today, more than ever, the Malays hold political sway, albeit tenuously, some say dubiously, maybe even illegally, in Malaysia. Certainly the Malays today have the political means to use, abuse and even, heavens forbid, establish the dominance of the Malays over all things Malaysian, dictatorially.

PRU15 will be won by a Malay leader who knows how to bring the Malay onside for political, racial, and religious expediency. It will be a leader who knows full well that in all the mix of race, religion, and politics, there is a way to make Malaysia and Malaysians work together and emerge at the end of PRU15, as a nation that works.

Here are some truths:

The Malays will dominate. The best that the non-Malays can hope for is to have a responsible Malay leader leading a Malay-dominated government that is mindful of their rights and interests as Malaysians.

Everything else, even Royalty and corruption, are negotiable.

The aftermath of PRU14 can best be passed off as attempts by Tun Mahathir, Muhyiddin and Ismail Sabri to do government. All have all failed. Thankfully we are now heading towards PRU15 with some sense of direction, and structure of what government will take charge after PRU15.

And what kind of government will that be?

It will be a Malay dominated/led political coalition: Gerakan Tanah Air : a Malay-Muslim-centric political coalition, aimed to reunite the Malay community and provide a stable political environment.

I am not here to debate the right or wrong of these beliefs held by those in GTA, but it would seem to me that Tun Mahathir is once again able to read the political winds of change that have started to blow across the political arena as PRU15 nears.

Those are the realities. Live with it. If you cannot, do as I do, leave. Enough said.
