I am a Malay, and I am so, so ashamed of my own kind.

The collective inability of the Malays to awake themselves from that long slumber that UMNO, PAS, and PN, have induced upon their ability to know what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is evil...and to have again the common sense that is now so uncommon....... never fails to astound and sadden me!

Too many of us are dwelling upon the need to prepare ourselves for the afterlife when life itself is staring at us now. Too many of us concern ourselves with the "others" and what the "others" are doing to us, to our religion, and to our Tanah Air, when all the "others" are concerned with is getting on with life, and they never worry themselves about the Malays who are worrying themselves silly about the "others".

The Malays are like the proverbial crabs.

A crab placed alone in a bucket will easily climb out and escape, but when you place it with a few of its mates, this interesting phenomenon occurs: One at a time, as the crabs try to escape, other crabs will pull them back down to their misery and the group's collective demise.

Yes, the Malays are best at killing other Malays.

Look around us today....the best Malay political brains (best at what, is debatable ...but they are the best political brains that the Malays have).....the best Malay political brains are not sitting down together to do what is best for the Malays. No Sir...they are too busy killing each other politically by any means at their disposal. Those outside the government hurl abuse and every vile accusation they can at those in government, while those in government prosecute, persecute, charge, arrest, and intimidate those Malay politicians outside the government with the regularity of a clock. Day in and day out without a pause.

Why do they do this to each other?

Because they know of no other way. It never occurred to them that as Malays they should and could try to sit down and amicably do what they must to advance the cause of their own kind....but perish that thought. The best Malay political brains are hell-bent on finishing each other. That is the reality.

Hang Jebat and Hang Tuah cannot hold a candle to what these Malay politicians are now doing to each other....and I... as a Malay, am so, so ashamed of my own kind. When will all this stop? Never in my lifetime. And of that, to my eternal sadness, I am sure.

Comment from Anon:

Your latest article re Malays: so correct. I am particularly heartbroken about what they are doing to Judge Nazlan. A more honest and erudite Judge is hard to find. He should be in line to becoming a Chief Justice. Yet because this honest man dared to find Najib guilty, he is vilified and tortured. So who is doing it to him? Other Malays. Its not the "others" who are doing it. Crooked Malays bringing down good Malays and destroying them for doing the right thing. Our forefathers would be horrified. And my heart breaks that not enough Malays are standing up for him.
