Kassim S. A. Alfatihah.

The passing of a dear, dear friend to me, and my beloved wife, from our days in London in the 1960s. From our days in Penang, selling Hot Dogs and Burgers in Padang Brown in the early 70's... until today. The last I spoke to him was about a week or two ago...and as always we agree to disagree, civilly, on things that mattered to us....and one of the things that mattered to Kassim was DSAI. He had his views and I had mine, but we never allowed our druthers to get in the way of our friendship. Bless you Kassim.

When I was selling Hot Dogs in Padang Brown, he was Penang State Treasurer - an incongruent mix that never bothered us. And there was one more guy that made up a trio...Talaat. God knows where Talaat is now..but wherever you are Talaat...let us both say a prayer for Kassim.

Condolences to Siti, his dear wife. My heart is heavy and my whole being aches with memories of days long past and a friendship that has pass the test of time. Thank you Kassim for being in my life.

P.S. Me and Aruah Kassim talking about our favorite subject, DSAI.
