Lest We Forget...Julian Assange

The first time I saw the above video ...some ten years back.... I was astounded that the Americans can indiscriminately kill innocent people so callously - as if they were playing a video game. These were the lives of over a dozen men, and two children were seriously wounded. The lives of the men were snuffed out like we would blow out a candle, by a US aircrew in an Apache helicopter. And what did the US military say of that attack..."The actions of the soldiers were in accordance with the law of armed conflict and its own "Rules of Engagement".

Wikileaks released that video. Today the founder of Wikileaks is in jail facing extradition to the US over the publication of thousands of classified documents in 2010 and 2011.

Julian's life is under grave threat, and so is the right of journalists to publish material that governments and corporations find inconvenient. This is about the right of a free press to publish without being threatened by a bullying superpower.
