Najib's Pardon: Why Is Our PMX Quiet?

Updated: Apr 19, 2023

From the time that Zahid Hamidi was appointed DPM, Tok Mat as Defense Minister, Zafrul as Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia, Azalina appointed law, and human rights advisor to our PMX, and from the time that the AG's tenure and the tenure of Azam Baki as Commissioner of MACC was also extended....all this.... for me.... sudah di rancang oleh pihak pihak tertentu. And they did so in the hope, that all this would eventually lead to the dropping of charges for the Umno Court cluster, and the release of Najib Razak from prison by a royal pardon or whatever else that was needed to be done to make his release from jail possible. This is what the powers that now be, in Umno, think they can do.

And while all this happening, why is our PMX quiet?

Does he not have an opinion? Does Anwar not have a moral obligation, an ethical responsibility, and a conscience to do what is right? Or does he lack the moral courage to say what needs to be said?

Why is Cabinet also mute? Does no one in Cabinet has the balls to stand up and be counted when it comes to articulating what the people who elected them to parliament want them to articulate? That justice served upon Najib must be served...all twelve years of it!

What about Pakatan Harapan? Will it do anything, make any compromise, endure any shame, forget its promise made to us that had voted them into office, do any misdeed...just so that they can continue to do government?

And why is the DAP also uncharacteristically mute? The cat has got your tongue? Or do you not want to lose those paltry, embarrassingly few Minister posts that our PMX have forced upon the DAP to accept? Will the DAP also endure anything just to be in government?

Is there no one in government with a conscience? Does no one in government understand what is right and what is wrong? Is parliament truly a place for baboons and monkeys devoid of any sense of shame, or any understanding of the due process? That once the court has passed a sentence, it has to be served?

There have been times in the past when our nation's strength and conscience have been tested. The Emergency, Konfrontasi, Memali, Ops Lallang, May 13, Reformasi, Bersih, GE14, and, that conviction of that son of Razak....in all these instances, our nation's will and resolve to overcome trials and tribulations were tested and we prevailed.

Again, we are now being tested.

This is how a nation rises or falls by the things its people do when faced with choices between right and wrong, good or evil. This is another time in our history that future generations will ask themselves that simple question: Why was Najib Razak pardoned for a crime that shall forever live in the annals of infamy for our people and our nation.....why?

And if Najib is pardoned, the reason that Najib Razak did not serve his time as sentenced is simply this: The PMX, his Cabinet, his Coalition partners in Government, Members of Parliament, the Judiciary, the AG, the MACC and a host of those so-called defenders of the realm, and ultimately the people of themselves...all of us did not have the courage of our conviction to stand up to the few politicians who wanted the release of Najib Razak for their own selfish interest.

And for not doing so, all of them, and all of us, should hang our heads in shame and know in our hearts that we could have done better. We the people will eternally be condemned by our future generations for not doing what is right by the nations and for the future generations of Malaysian. And that my friend is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth...so help me God.

For sure, we will hear Ambiga tell us that this is simply not cricket. Farida of G25 and Pak Arshad from Patriot will certainly be heard adding their voices to this debate - and rightly so, for are they not the nation's conscience? And they should be heeded, but surely we can also think for ourselves and decide, in our own mind, what is right and what is wrong....kan?

In truth, there is only now only the Royals left to uphold truth and justice. Only the Royals are left to make a stand against the collective political will of Umno that has signaled its intent to ask our King to consider a pardon for that Najib fellow.

And let it be known that at best, Umno can only beseech the King to "consider" giving Najib a pardon. They cannot demand that the King gives Najib a pardon. So we must once again leave it to the bijaksana and sense of right and wrong of our wise King to decide what is the right thing he and his brother Royals should now do and must now do for justice and common sense to prevail. Enough said.
