We are still the ideal country for various festivals- Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Gawai, Deepavali, Kaamatan , Christmas etc and the associated holidays and a new gimmick- roads become toll free. We still experience the heaviest downpours, massive traffic jams and the people constantly complain about the government and the declining ringgit, rising prices and more polarisation in the country. But life goes on with our wonderful food and multiculturalism although we seem to have found a new fascination for classifying Halal products. Yes we are a distracted people. With best wishes
