PM's House set on Fire. Violence on the Streets.

The Sri Lanka Crisis worsens across the Island. Emergency rule has been imposed. There are violent clashes on the streets between protestors and government supporters. Protestors are targeting political leaders who are responsible for the bankrupt state of Sri Lanka today.

The Prime Minister has resigned. His poor handling of the economic situation and his Kleptocratic ways has resulted in the worst crisis his country has ever experienced.

The Army has been called out. Gunfire have been heard on the streets of Colombo. People have been injured and killed. There is a shortage of food, of fuel and no electricity. The natives are no longer restless. The insurrection have begun.

That is Sri Lanka this morning.

I dare say that even as Sri Lanka erupts into mayhem with violence on the streets, Malaysians are considering their options.

This government that we now have in Putrajaya is worse than the one led by Rajapaksa in Ceylon. Rajapaksa's family members are as corrupt as they come, but in Malaysia, the corruption and kleptocracy is not only the privy of the PM's and Minister's family, it has also become deeply embedded in the culture and mores of politicians from the PM down to the political grassroot levels - in government and opposition.

What options are Malaysians considering, to rid themselves of corruption and kleptocracy?

Anything and everything is being considered. What works in Sri Lanka, Indonesia and India, when violence on the streets made their government wake up to the demands of the people, may work in Malaysia...or may not. We will have to leave it to the wisdom of the rakyat to do what is best for themselves and their Malaysia, when to do it, and the manner they choose to do it.

But the time nears for something to be done. Our political leaders are unable to understand that the rakyat in Malaysia are today certain of only one thing : They want C H A N G E. It must come now, not later! If change does not come soon, restless natives without enough food and hope for a decent future, will be a volatile mix prone to violence to get what they want. This will plunge our nation into a conundrum that would make May 13 a storm in a tea cup, by comparison! Enough said.
