RANTINGS...

I have been away from K Hell for the last decade and a bit more. Totally away. No visits. Not even a thought of going back to Bangsar - my kampong when I am in KL. All that is water under the bridge. So I am a Malay, born in Setapak, but will be buried elsewhere - not in Setapak, not anywhere in Malaysia. And it has come to this because I have no desire to live in the country I once called home. Especially not when the powers that be in Malaysia will arrest me upon entry for the things I have done as blogger steadyaku47.

Think about this….I was born in 1947. My grandfather was the first Malay Doctor. A Grand Auntie, the first Malay teacher. My father served in the Police Force until his retirement. I went to MCKK. And now at 75, PDRM have a warrant to arrest me upon entry to Malaysia? How do I feel about that?

Let me story you.

Over four decades ago when my daughter, and later my son, were born, I had the choice to register them as Australians or Malaysians. I am grateful that I had the sense then to register them as Australians. My late wife remained Australian because the process of applying for a Permanent Resident status was too onerous and required the greasing of palms of people in Immigration to make possible. Even then, I could feel that Malaysia was becoming the country I would not want to live in as it headed towards a future I felt our Malay political leaders then wanted Malaysia to be - and that was a country for the Malays, by the Malays and of the Malays. I could choose where I wanted to live. And I choose Australia over three decades ago.

And now do I want to go back to K Hell? Hell no! Yes the arrest warrant has a large part in making me want to stay away from KL but even without the arrest warrant, what does a future in Malaysia hold for me? I have no interest in being a Malay in a country for the Malays, by the Malays and of the Malays. Why not? The ‘why not’ is best answered by those of you who are still living in Malaysia today - by the Malays and the non-Malays.

It is hell in Malaysia today, is it not? Nine Sultans of various hues from the corrupt and the greedy to the very few Royals who are now beginning to understand that their purpose in life as Sultans is to serve the rakyat, not themselves. A corrupt Malay political elite that has corrupt all things Malaysians, and millions and millions of Malaysians who are now as ready to burn as the dry leaves in a parched forest will burn should just one spark is set upon them. Malaysian today are past being restless. Malaysian today are past being angry. They only want another reason to vent the pent up palpable physical anger within them over the pathetic state of their nation and themselves - and when that reason comes, May 13 1969 will merely be a footnote in the history of our Nation. I kid you not!

The Malays have a term for it. AMOK. It happened to a lesser degree during the 13th May 1969 incident. I do not know what the term for Malaysians going AMOK en mass will be. …but it will not be something I want to be in the middle of! I just hope when that happens…not if, but when that happens….they will know who are deserving of their wrath first! The convicted felon maybe? The Umno court cluster maybe? Those Royals down South and the present occupants of Istana Negara …maybe? And ransack Seri Perdana too! I guess you get my drift.

These are not just mere musings and the forlorn hopes of Malaysians who want to vent their anger and disgusts upon Malay political leaders who have taken them and their country down the path of ruination and despair. We Asians are a docile lot until pushed past the point where reason can no longer temper our judgement of what is right or wrong. AMOK is when people behave in a violently raging, wild, or uncontrolled manner. The circumstance of our people and our nation today is heading towards that perfect storm that will spark that outpouring of physical anger among all Malaysians…sooner rather than later.

How soon is in the laps of the Gods. Enough said before they issue another arrest warrant for me!
