SERVING PARLIAMENT IS AN HONOUR, NOT A LUCRATIVE CAREER FOR LOOTING

Dear respected citizens of Malaysia,

You are requested to read this message and forward it to a minimum of twenty people in your co contact list. In turn, please ask each of them to do likewise.

In three days, most people in Malaysia will have received this message.

Every citizen in Malaysia should raise a voice to: REFORM the “Act of 2018”.

*1*

Parliamentarians should not get a pension since it is not ‘employment’ but ‘election’ under the People's Representation Act. Currently, they get a pension after completing 5 years of service.

*2.*

Parliamentarians’ salaries should be revised in line with the Central Pay Commission. Currently, they increase their salary arbitrarily by voting for themselves.

*3.*

Parliamentarians should surrender their current health care plans and participate in the same health care system as the public. This is the only way we can improve the public healthcare system.

*4.*

All concessions like free annual travel, electricity, water, groceries, phone bills, etc should be abolished. They not only get these concessions but regularly increase it - boldly and shamelessly.

*5.*

Parliamentarians with tainted records, criminal charges & convictions, past or present, should be banned from parliament and contesting in elections.

*6.*

Financial losses incurred during a politician’s time in office must be RECOVERED from said politician, their immediate families, nominees, properties, etc. They must be fully accountable.

*7.*

Parliamentarians should abide by ALL laws. Outriders are only provided to PM and DPM. Other ministers must use our roads like the public. Without outriders, they will be forced to leave early to arrive on time for their public appearances and work. Currently, the public suffer delays due to road works, MRT projects, tolls, and traffic congestion due to bad planning. This will give them the incentive to always keep our roads safe, well planned and consistently maintained.

*8.*

All elected parliament officials must declare their wealth and income. This applies to senators and member of the opposition too. An independent audit must be done of their wealth every two years, and reported in the media. A copy must also be made available on the Auditors’ web portal. Another audit must be done when politicians resign or complete serving their term as a public official.

*9.*

Once they are elected, they must remain in the same party; if not, they must resign.

*10.*

They should not be permitted to contest as a member of another party; in addition, they should not be allowed to cross over to another party at will.

REMEMBER -

*SERVING PARLIAMENT IS AN Honor, NOT A LUCRATIVE CAREER FOR LOOTING*.
