Should Anwar stay or go?

That depends on who you are asking. Dennis says Anwar should go. Tajuddin says he should stay. Me? I am a classmate, friend, sometime critic sometime supporter, and, all time hopeful believer that one day, given the right circumstance, Anwar will arrive at his full potential. Some say that he has already done that with the REFORMASI movement. Some say he has not. Let us leave it at that.

As for whether Anwar …or for that matter any of the seniors/oldies but Goldie politicians in the Opposition…ok lah Anwar, Kit Siang, Mat Sabu and Mahathir…are still needed within the ranks of the Opposition for PH to win government….as an oldie myself…I have this to say.

For sure, we (see I include myself as I am beyond old…we are ancient)…for sure we do have a role to play in PRU15. Anything and everything that we can muster to give BN a run for their money, we must muster. It will be a mix of the young and the old - and we can learn from each other - that will win PRU15 for PH.

How that mix is to be worked out is still a work in progress. They are all speaking to each other - if not directly, then through others whom they did, or did not, give permission to speak to others on their behalf. Messages are being exchanged, signs and signals given overtly and covertly, and each one of them are guessing and second guessing what the others will or will not do.

They are talking about post PRU15 coalitions. They are looking for frogs of the human kind, some in the right places, and some not. It is all a question of what can or cannot happen after PRU15.

No movie script from Casablanca to Charade or even a P Ramlee drama can match what is happening in K Hell today - so I am not even going to try. Suffice for me to say that the Opposition will be up against a BN that knows that it must not lose PRU15. They will do all they can, and need to do, to win. If they need cash, they use cash. If they need to lie, cheat and dupe the people into voting for them, they will lie, cheat and dupe the people into voting for them. If they need a convicted felon to campaign for them. A convicted felon will be found....or maybe they have already found one!

And what is the opposition doing? They are discussing the merits, or not, of allowing DSAI or Tun Mahathir, to even be on the starting line of PRU15. They are talking about whom to allow into the Khemah Besar. They are talking about another MOU with BN? They are lamenting their lack of Cash and electoral machinery to match BN.

Guys, this is not the way to win elections. That is the only advice I can give you…what you guys are now doing is not going to win PRU15 for PH. So go figure out among yourselves what you need to do NOW or else forever STFU, lie down and let BN walk all over you! Enough said.
