THE ACCIDENTAL PM’S

As a Warganegara Malaysia, I am aggrieved that I have not been consulted nor have I had a say in the appointment of the last two prime ministers. Accidental PMs I call them because without so much as a nod from me, or a high five, what more my vote, Mahiaddin and Mael Blur, by the grace of Dollah, were anointed PM of my Negara.

None of us, what more they themselves, had any inkling that they could and would be PM until they found themselves taking the oath of office in front of Dollah at Istana Negara. Okay lah maybe Mahiaddin was in on the scam from the time Langkah Sheraton was half way through its paces, but even then, it was still touch and go until he was on his way to Istana Negara to take the oath of office.

Mael Blur? He had to have that 50 car convoy to go with him up North just to convince himself that he was really the PM. I mean surely even Blur himself, when he counted the number of cars in his entourage, realised that only the PM could draw so many cars to follow him North kan!So he must be PM!

But accidental or not, in Malaysia, the PM is the goose that lays the golden egg. And even if you have many golden eggs in your possessions, more often than not, you want more. Much more.

Some want golden eggs, some want ministerial status, some want to be advisors and some want to be ambassadors …all up to Mael to give or not to give. So when people come crawling to you for favours, whether you are important or not, you begin to feel important.

Mael even got the opposition to sign an MOU to keep him as PM even if PN/BN wanted him out! That MOU was between PH and Mael Bera... not PH with the PN/BN government that he was suppose to lead! An MOU that would keep him as PM…and he did not even have to give PH any concessions…promises were enough! Promises that he has no intention of keeping - but hey, PH signed kan? Even Tun Mahathir had to give DAP the FM post to keep them onside…but this Mael Bera did pull of a courp of some sort. Imagine getting PH/DSAI to sign an MOU for just a token stipend for the leader of the opposition and an office space? Huh…I say that DSAI was taken for a ride.

Do I hold Dollah responsible for the two accidental PMs? No lah. Money talks.
