This is the kind of initiative needed to make a difference to the rakyat where it really matters: on the ground and with direct, immediate and, hopefully, positive consequences to all involved. Leaving it to the people to decide what to do with the money can be fraught with possible misuse and abuse. Checks and balances must be in place BEFORE the money is disbursed.

• When will this start?

• Is it RM 100,000 or RM50,000?

• Who is in charge?

• Will this project be race, religion and politics neutral?

• What are the checks and balances in place to limit abuse and misuse of funds disbursed?

• How much will it all costs?
