Selamat Pagi Malaysia. Barisan Nasional won. The Opposition failed.

Barisan Nasional Chairman, Zahid Hamidi dedicated BN’s win in Johor to Najib. He also thanked the Sultan of Johor, for consenting to the dissolution of the state assembly, which paved the way for fresh elections.

54.92% of registered voters, had cast their ballots in the polls. What would the 45.08% of registered voters, who did not cast their ballots would have chosen if they had cast their votes? We would never know, kan?

If the Opposition had been united in purpose, if the Opposition had contested under one Flag, under one Leader, if the opposition had Rafizi and Nurull and INVOKE, if the 45.08% of registered voters had voted…. Things could have been different, kan?

If Pakatan Harapan that won government in PRU14 had kept their promise to the electorates. If PH had had the sense to remain united in purpose and not fall apart. If PH had focussed on putting away all those Kleptocratic UMNO court clusters. Things could have been different, kan?

The rakyat wants Leadership. The rakyat wants a united Opposition. Deny them that, they will deny the Opposition their votes. They will not give their votes to Barisan Nasional, but they will deny the Opposition their votes. They did this in Malacca when only 65.85% of its registered voters voted and again in Johor, when only 54.92% of the registered voters voted.

In the coming weeks, two things can happen. There may be another PRN called for, in another state. Or Ismail Sabri will be ‘persuaded’ to call for15 GE secepat mungkin.

What ever happens, let us hope that the Opposition understands what it is that they will have our votes and do government again. If they do not, they deserved to be walloped again at the next State PRN or the coming PRU15 as they have been walloped this time around in Johor!
