We are in the business of winning elections! Are we not?

For now, and in the foreseeable future, those of us who are in the Opposition, have one, and only one business at hand : We are in the business of winning elections. If we do not win PRU15, all that we want for ourselves, for Malaysians and for Malaysia, will not happen.

All you leaders in the Opposition, we want you to know that we already know all that we need to know about 1MDB, SRC, Altantuya, Kleptocracy and corruption in Umno and BN.

We do not want Jakim, we do not want greedy Royals. We know that the Convicted Felon, his wife and the Umno Court Cluster should all be in Jail. We know the rot within MACC, PDRM and the government.

We know about corrupt politicians. We know of Politicians who steal, lie and scam under the guise of race and religion. We know that cash, not duty to those who elected them to office, is the mantra of those lawmakers in Parliament and in the State Assembly. All this, and more, we know.

We know that PRU15 will be a tight race. We know that no single political entity will be able to have the numbers to win PRU 15 on its own and form government.

Common sense tells us that a hung parliament is a real possibility, and there will be horse-trading between all political parties to see who can buy the frogs needed to form government. Post PRU15 coalitions seems to be the order of the day.

We want those in Opposition to avoid this. We do not want the Opposition to have to buy frogs, do underhand deals and horse trade with greedy political frogs in order for PH to form government. We will not want this, and we will not allow for this to happen.

We want the leaders within the Opposition to come together NOW rather than later. Khemah Besar or no Khemah Besar we want you guys to understand and remember that we are in the business of winning elections. Do what you guys have to do to make that happen. If you have to forget race and religion to win. Forget race and religion. if you have to use race and religion to win, use race and religion, but do so responsibly, to win.

Form political coalitions NOW. Choose leaders NOW. Make sure that the interests and concerns of the rakyat in Semananjung, Sabah and Sarawak will be taken care of NOW. Choose a leader who can lead us to victory NOW. Do whatever you need to do to ensure that victory at PRU15 is ours, NOW.

DSAI is the leader of the Opposition. DSAI should lead. When I say lead, I do not say that he should be Prime Minister. When I say lead, I do not mean that DSAI will decide who will be in Cabinet, who will be in Government, who will be the appointees to head GLC’s.

DSAI is leader of the Opposition and as its leader, he must lead PH to win PRU15. DSAI must deal with the reality that the Opposition is now weak, that the Opposition is now divided, and the Opposition needs a capable, strong and responsible leader to pull it together into a formidable electoral machine that will beat Barisan Nasional at PRU15. If DSAI cannot do that, someone else must take his place. All this the Opposition must do NOW, not later.

I also want those leaders in the Opposition to tell us NOW what they will do once they are elected to office! Be warned that what you tell us you will do, you must do! None of that “we thought we were never going to be elected” nonsense of PRU14. None of those “we will do our best to deliver on our promises”.

If you do not deliver on your promises, it only means one thing. You lied to us. We have had enough of lying politicians and if you lie, you better resign, or we will kick you out of office.

Each of us will have our druthers. Each of us will have our wish list. Let me tell you mine.

I want to know what will happen to bloggers who are now persons of interests to PDRM because of what we write? What will happen to those of us who write the truth about corruption, about greedy, lying and scamming politicians and Royals?

I want all “bloggers of interests” to PDRM and the authorities, to have their files stamped NFA and be all allowed to have the freedom of choice to return or not to return to Malaysia as and when they think fit.

If there are bloggers who have been irresponsible and posted contents that are false, they have to be dealt with in a fair and responsible manner.

When PH is in government, we want PH government to instruct the Telcos to allow their subscribers to access our social media sites. We want MACC to have clear guidelines as to how they are to monitor social media contents - guidelines that should not allow the government to misuse political power for personal gain through the control of what can and cannot be posted on the Net.

I am sure each one of us will have our wish list. Tell that to your reps at state and federal level. Let us all be clear of what to expect from our elected representative once they are in government, and let them understand what their duties are to us.

Let us not talk any more about another Langkah Sheraton. About Frogs jumping ka sini ka sana to cari makan. About promises made to hand over power, about promises made to do things for the rakyat that are not fulfilled.

So, my friends, choose your leaders well. Choose them to win the PRU15 for us. Choose them to make Malaysians and Malaysia into the image that we want it to be. Choose them for the future of our children and for the generations to come. We decide.

The lessons of PRU14 are clear. Trust, but verify. If our leaders do not learn the lessons of PRU14 then we are to be blamed for choosing them as our leaders. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice…shame on us.
