We Know Who is NOT in Charge of our Country...

Updated: Jul 13, 2022

Selamat Pagi Malaysia.

Just who is in charge of Malaysia today?

We know prime minister Ismail Sabri is not in charge. He certainly is in charge of what he wears, but even that, I am told, comes under the purview of a certain Dato Jovian Mandagie - so maybe Ismail Sabri is not responsible for being dressed up like a clown or even, at times, like a fool....Is this Jovian feller to be blamed?

We know the prime minister is not in charge of appointing our ambassador to Jakarta. We know that our prime minister is not in charge of our economy - Najib and the Minister of Finance are in charge. He is not in charge of the price of chicken or cooking oil. And not even in charge of managing the Covid situation - KJ and that DG of Health likes to think that they are in charge, not Ismail. We know he is not in charge of the government because his ministers do as they like.

We know Ismail Sabri is not in charge of Umno because if he is, he will be their president, kan? And he is not. So what is he doing as prime minister? Ask him for I sure he too is a bit blur on that too. In fact, he is a bit blur on anything and everything.

Najib or Zahid Hamidi are also not in charge of the government. They like to think that they are in charge, but they KNOW they are not because none of them can do anything to stop any of them from going to jail. And when they do go to jail, they are not even in charge of getting a pardon to get them out of jail. So what are they in charge of?

DSAI is head of the Opposition and Pakatan Harapan and carries some clout in propping up Ismail Sabri as prime minister...BUT...is not the opposition's job to bring down the government, not prop it up?

Tun Mahathir is no longer PM, he is no longer the leader of the Opposition, and yet he is the one being invited by Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea because they want to hear what he has to say about anything and everything he wants to talk about.

Mahiaddin still wants to be prime minister and the number of people wanting him to be prime minister again can be counted on the finger of his one hand, but that is enough for him. So day in and day out, all he tells us is what he will do if he does not become Prime minister again. And what is he going to do if he does not become prime minister again? Nothing much really. Dead man walking.

Once in a while, Mr King says what he wants to say about this and that, but we know he is not in charge of anything except inviting people to have dinner with him at the Istana. Mr Sultan Down South is also vocal on a number of issues - mainly concerning himself and his perceived self-importance...but we know when all is said and done, these royals have no political power to do anything of any consequence, except, maybe, if they wish to, gift an RM$10k shoe to a Menteri Besar whom they themselves, put into office. Just think about that for a while.....you give someone an important job. He gets paid a good salary, and you still gift him with a RM$10K pair of shoes? Isn't that being stupid or what?

Occasionally someone from Sabah or Sarawak talks about them being neglected by those in Putrajaya and suggests the possibility of Sabah and Sarawak leaving Malaysia....some of us are okay with Sabah and Sarawak going their separate ways from Semananjung, some of us are not....but usually their cakap tak serapu bikin. After a while, crying wolf loses its gloss.

So who is in charge of our country? The rakyat maybe?
