With practice & opportunity, everyone can be as corrupt as the Malays...kan?

Orange-bellied Parrot is one of Australia’s most threatened species. With up to only 50 adults in the wild, they’re at great risk of extinction. And so they are a protected species.

I resent being treated like species at risk of extinction. In Malaysia alone the Malays make up 70% of the population - and that adds up to a hell of a lot of Malays in a population of 32 million! So how are we going to be extinct dalam masa terdekat? Impossible ma!

And yet that is what is happening today. The way governments in Malaysia have been acting in the last six decades and counting, you would have thought that every election would have been heralded the end of the Malays. More projects, more tenders and more negotiated ‘business opportunities for the Malays. More quotas, more jobs, more housing and more everything, for the Malays. More Ministerial status for the Malays. There have been 14 PRU’s and since Merdeka and I can report that the reports of the extinction of the Malay are greatly exaggerated! .

Has that disappointed the Chinese? I do not think so. The Indians? Maybe there are Indians who wants some Malays to balek kampong, but surely that is compensated by an equal number, if not more, of Malays wanting the Indians to balek to their Mother Country kan? So no, the Indians are not disappointed that the Malays are still around.

Who else?

Maybe the Malays in Putrajaya, the Malays in Jakim, Jawi, Umno and Pas - who have been the loudest to cry “Wolf!” at every opportunity they have about the possible extinction of the Malays? I think not too for if there are no Malays, banyak susah for then lah. The Malays have not gone extinct and the Malays are still, by far and large, the numero uno ethnic group in Malaysia. So why all this talk about the need for Ketuanan Melayu and Bumiputra status for now and …dare I say it…FOREVER?

I don’t know lah.

I think I am just as good as any Chinese. In fact I am better than some Chinese. I will not go so far as to say I am better than most Chinese, but I can go head to head with many Chinese and still come out ahead.

Same with the Indians…I am prepared to meet all comers if there are any of them who want to challenge me - at Carrom or anything….and more often than not, I think I will beat them.

For me, when any animal of human beings need protecting, it infers that they might go extinct - or even worse, that they are inferior to others and cannot pull their own weight on a level playing field! So they need to be helped to survive.

The Malays are certainly not inferior to the Chinese, the Indians or any other Malaysians and if anybody dares to say otherwise, it has to be another Malay. Another Malay from Umno, Pas or a Malay that stands to gain if the Malays are threaten with extinction! So a Malay is wishing that a Malay goes extinct because there is profit for them in such an event! Huh! Let us look for that Malay and throw them into Sungai Buloh to rot. They do not deserve to live among us.

And I resent the inference that the Malays are the most corrupt people in Malaysia. I am certain that with practice and opportunity, the Chinese, the Indians and any other Malaysians, can be as corrupt as the Malays in no time at all. So I say give the Chinese and the Indians the same opportunity as the Malays to be corrupt and pretty soon we will have a level playing level so that now, everyone can be corrupt.

We are all Malaysians. None of us are going extinct. The only species of Malaysians we ALL want to go extinct are the corrupt politicians! Enough said.
