Would you eat at the India Gate Restaurant in Bangsar?

Why would the India Gate Restaurant, in Bangsar, invite a Convicted Felon to its Grand Opening? No, really, I am asking a serious question. Why would you invite a National Embarrassment to open a grand Indian Restaurant? Why invite someone who was sentenced up to 12 years in prison and faces fines of nearly $50 million on charges of abuse of power, breach of trust and money laundering to grace the occasion of your restaurant opening? Did the owners of the restaurant really want to be associated with a Convicted Felon? Did they want to even be seen in the company of that Convicted Felon? And pray tell me why the owners of that restaurant did not invite the wife of the Convicted Felon to also grace the occasion? Or was having a Convicted Felon and a potential Convicted Felon just a bit too much even for them to stomach?

Did the owners of the India Gate restaurant ever considered what the reaction of the rakyat (whose money this convicted felon has stolen in the billions), would be towards the India Gate Restaurant? How do YOU feel about this restaurant now that you know it was open by that Convicted Felon aka BossKu aka Kepit Man?

Would you eat at the India Gate Restaurant ?

The legal fraternity and those who had worked tirelessly to convict Najib, do you think they will extend their patronage to the India Gate Restaurant?

Would Tun Mahathir and wife go there? Would DSAI, Muhyiddin, The CJ Tun Tengku Maimun, Hakim Nazlan or even Mary Ann Jolley of AlJazeera, go eat at the India gate restaurant?

Hell, would even you or me go to the India Gate Restaurant because it was the Convicted Felon who was invited to open the India Gate Restaurant?

I am not going to answer the question, lest the India Gate Restaurant think that I am asking people to boycott the restaurant! No, I am not going to tell all Malaysians to boycott the India Gate Restaurant just because they invited that Convicted Felon to officiate at their grand opening…. lest they accuse me of wanting to teach them a lesson for what they did.

These people have to decide for themselves what they will do to the India Gate Restaurant. Free country kan?

But a word of caution to other restaurant owners who wants to invite any Convicted Felon to the Grand Opening of their restaurant…… THINK .....before you do. You might upset a few people who are upset that any owners would have the gall to invite a convicted felon to the opening of their restaurant! Kapish?

And when people are upset you never know what they will do kan? They might not take their families to the restaurant. Or worse, they may try to persuade their friends and acquaintances to not go there too. And if others start doing the same thing....not good for business kan? Die standing ma! So I will be the last person to call for a national boycott of this India Gate Restaurant just because they invited that Convicted Felon to officiate at the opening of the retaurant! It would be highly irresponsible of me to do so!
